t’s been reported this morning that global phenomenon boy band One Direction are “in talks” to star in their own fly-on-the-wall reality TV series.
The Daily Star reports that the 1D lads, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan are holding “secret talks” with MTV about the show, which would have the channel’s cameras shadow the boys in their everyday lives as well as during their gigs and TV appearances.
A source close the band said, “One Direction are a money-making machine right now.
“They were talking with their management about new projects once their tour is over and having their own ¬reality show seems like a ¬brilliant idea…
“The fans would lap it up and they’d make a fortune.”
During a recent TV interview, Niall hinted that such a show could be on the way when he said, “In interviews we get a chance to give a little bit of our personalities but if a camera was there all the time it would give all elements of our personalities.
“It would be nice for people to see what ¬actually goes on behind the scenes.”
The paper adds, “Rumours are also surfacing that the Live While We’re Young singers are planning to ask superstar pal Justin Bieber, 18, to appear in the first episode to bring in even more viewers.”
The source added, “Their management are speaking to MTV about a lot of ideas.
“Having Justin Bieber in the first episode would guarantee millions of viewers.
“Nothing is confirmed but the boys are keen to do it and so are MTV. Watch this space.”
